Mid-range smartphone with eight Cortex-A725 performance cores: Leak reveals Infinix GT 50 Pro 5G

In addition to the Infinix Note 60 Ultra, the smartphone manufacturer is also expected to launch the GT 50 Pro 5G soon. PassionateGeekz has just published the first images of the mid-range smartphone, which is specifically aimed at gaming enthusiasts. To this end, the Infinix GT 50 Pro boasts a striking design with carbon-like back and green LED lighting.
As for the specs, Infinix has opted for a 6.78-inch, AMOLED display with a particularly high refresh rate of 144 Hz. At the heart of the GT 50 Pro is a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, a 4 nm ARM chip featuring eight ARM Cortex-A725 performance cores, four of which operate at lower clock speeds as replacements for conventional efficiency cores. This gives the chip an excellent price-performance ratio, as AnTuTu performance charts reveal.
The chip is expected to be paired with 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of flash storage. Compared to the Infinix Note 60 Ultra, the GT 50 Pro primarily cuts back on the cameras, reportedly featuring only a 13 MP selfie camera, a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. The Chinese model is said to have a 6,500 mAh battery, while the European variant is expected to ship with a slightly smaller 6,150 mAh dual-cell battery. Charging options include USB-C at up to 45 watts or wireless charging at 30 watts. The release date and price of the Infinix GT 50 Pro are currently unknown.
