Google's new smartphone confirmed to launch globally with old Tensor G4 silicon on eve of release

Google will be releasing the Pixel 10a tomorrow. To recap, the company announced around two weeks ago that it would be replacing the Pixel 9a on February 18 (curr. $399 on Amazon). Nonetheless, European retailer Vanden Borre has gone early and revealed numerous Pixel 10a details ahead of time.

Spotted by Roland Quandt, the retailer confirms that the Pixel 10a will line up with a 6.3-inch and 120 Hz Actua-branded display. Also, the new smartphone will retain last year's Tensor G4. Meanwhile, Google bases the rest of the Pixel 10 series on its newer Tensor G5 chipset. This year's Pixel A series smartphone will feature unchanged camera hardware as well, despite Google focusing on its new flat camera housing in its marketing materials.

Not only that, but Vanden Borre has revealed launch pricing too. Currently, the retailer expects to sell the Pixel 10a in Blue, Grey and Obsidian colours. As the screenshot below shows, Vanden Borre has priced these colours at €549 (~$650) with 128 GB of storage. The retailer confirms that Google will charge €649 (~$769) for 256 GB of storage. The Pixel 10a should be available with 256 GB of storage in more than the Obsidian finish shown below, though.
