The Google Pixel 10a looks very similar to the Pixel 9a
Google is expected to unveil the Google Pixel 10a in a few days, as the brand-new midrange smartphone has already appeared in numerous promo images. Google is apparently updating the design with narrower screen bezels and cameras that sit flush with the chassis.

According to rumors, the Google Pixel 10a can be preordered starting February 18. The list price is expected to remain unchanged, so the base model with 128GB of storage will likely cost $499, while Google is expected to charge $599 for the 256GB version. Either way, the highly reliable leaker Evan Blass has now published a series of promo images that likely come directly from Google.

As expected, the design strongly resembles last year’s Google Pixel 9a, including a flat metal frame and two cameras in a pill-shaped camera bump. These latest images show two differences between the Pixel 9a and the Pixel 10a. First, the screen bezels are slightly thinner, and second, the cameras no longer protrude from the chassis at all, so the Pixel 10a can be put flat on a table.

As these promo images suggest, the Google Pixel 10a is partly made from recycled materials. The mid-range smartphone further supports Gemini Live, which makes it possible to ask an AI assistant questions about objects the camera sees. Compared to the already available Google Pixel 10 (from $649 on Amazon), buyers will likely have to live with a few compromises, because the specs of the Pixel 10a might not change much compared to the Pixel 9a.

Rumors suggest the Google Pixel 10a will still have a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 13MP f/2.2 front camera. The smartphone is also expected to sport a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The battery could have a capacity of 5,100mAh. It is still unclear whether Google will use the current Tensor G5 or the older Tensor G4 ARM chip.
