The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. For our detailed review, we got the green version with 16 GB RAM by our loaner Trading Shenzhen. The price of our review unit currently starts at around 900 euros.
The CPU performance easily outperforms the competition in our benchmark package. Even a Xiaomi 17 Pro Max doesn't stand a chance against the Ultra model - why? You can find out in the following article to find out.
But what does it look like when the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is used intensively? We put our sample under load for around 15 minutes using the burnout benchmark. Right after that, the CPU had to demonstrate in the Geekbench test how much performance it still has to offer.
Xiaomi smartphone still faster than a Galaxy S25 Ultra
With the 3DMark stress tests, we can provoke a noticeable throttling of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the review. You can see how much the flagship phone from Xiaomi throttles in the GPU benchmarks in this review.
For comparison with other flagship phones, we look at the CPU power of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra with the Geekbench test as well. When cooled, the Xiaomi phone delivers 3,722 points in single‑core and an impressive resut of 11,411 points in multi‑core.
After load, the performance is reduced by around 10 percent - significantly less than in the 3DMark benchmark. However, the level offered is still significantly higher than a Google Pixel 10 Pro with its Tensor G5 achieves under optimal conditions. Even a Galaxy S25 Ultra is slightly slower than the Xiaomi 17 Ultra after a 15‑minute load phase, showing that Xiaomi’s flagship still delivers immense performance in everyday use, even under heavy workloads.
