Xiaomi is rolling out a new update to several smartphones
Xiaomi is currently rolling out a new update to several smartphones, bringing the Xiaomi 17 series and the Xiaomi 15T Pro to HyperOS 3. The new operating system is based on Android 17.

Several Xiaomi smartphones are currently receiving a new software update. The rollout primarily targets the Xiaomi 17 series—including the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, both of which we have already reviewed and which are available on Amazon. This is not a beta release, meaning the update should eventually reach all users. Xiaomi is distributing two variants: a global version and a Europe-specific release. HyperOS 3 itself is based on Android 17. While the changelog remains brief—broadly mentioning improved system stability and an enhanced user experience—the update includes the June 2026 security patches.

Notably, the installation packages are quite large, weighing in at approximately 7.5 GB for the standard model and 9.5 GB for the Ultra. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is also beginning to receive HyperOS 3 (build OS3.0.331.0.XOSMIXM). However, this rollout is currently limited to Mi Pilot program participants. The Xiaomi 15T Pro, which we tested in late 2025, originally launched with HyperOS based on Android 15.
