The stable version of Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 is now available to the first batch of phones and tablets. This update introduces new system-level optimizations and makes multiple UI refinements throughout the OS.

Xiaomi has pushed stable HyperOS 3.1 to the first eligible global devices. The update has started to land on phones and tablets that are in the EU, but a wider rollout is expected to happen soon.

Among the first devices are the global phones in the Xiaomi 17 series. The vanilla, codenamed Pudding, and the Ultra model, codenamed Nezha, have received the HyperOS 3.1 update. The firmware versions for these two in the EU are OS3.0.301.0.WPCEUXM and OS3.0.301.0.WPAEUXM, respectively.

As for the tablets, the Redmi Pad Pro and the rebranded Poco Pad have also received the new update. The firmware version for the two is the same in the EU, which is OS3.0.301.0.WNSEUXM.

For those interested, Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 brings a handful of changes. Enhanced Super Island is one of them, and it's demonstrated to be more interactive than the one before. The system animations and app interfaces have also seen changes. There are iOS-style animations, and the polished UI aims to make the overall system feel fluid.

Another notable change is the improved Xiaomi HyperConnect. With HyperOS 3.1, Xiaomi has widened cross-device compatibility. For example, updated devices now play better with the Apple ecosystem. The system's "Find My Device" can also ping paired Apple AirPods (Pro 3 curr. $199 on Amazon).

There's no official word on when the other compatible devices may receive the update. However, as discovered late last year, many phones and tablets that have received HyperOS 3 may not get the 3.1 update.
