Apple reduces price of Studio Display XDR just weeks after launch

The Apple Studio Display XDR ($3,299 on Amazon) was launched at the beginning of March for a recommended retail price of $3,299 euros on the market. This price previously applied regardless of whether the monitor was purchased with Apple's height-adjustable stand or with a VESA adapter for stands and monitor arms from third-party suppliers.
This is now changing, because while the version with stand is still available for $3,299, Apple is reducing the list price of the version with VESA adapter to $2,899 - a discount of $400 after all. For the low-reflection nanotexture glass, Apple is still charging an additional $300.

Even with the reduced list price, the Apple Studio Display XDR remains a comparatively expensive 27-inch monitor. In return, the Studio Display XDR offers features that you won't find in any of its competitors, led by the Apple A19 Pro ARM chip, which is already familiar from the Apple iPhone 17 Pro. The processor is with 12 GB RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, making the Studio Display XDR more powerful than the MacBook Neo. This power is mainly used to improve the quality of the 12 MP webcam and the six speakers.
The screen achieves full 5K resolution at a 120 Hz frame rate, and the mini LED backlight can be dimmed in 2,304 zones. Apple advertises a full SDR brightness of 1,000 nits and a peak HDR brightness of 2,000 nits. The monitor has two Thunderbolt 5 ports and an integrated USB-C hub with two ports.
