Deal | Casio's feature-loaded Pro Trek PRW-B1000 watch scores a big discount on Amazon

Pro Trek watches from Casio are highly sought-after, and for good reason. They pack a ton of features, are pretty tough, and look good on the wrist. One of those models - the Casio Pro Trek PRW-B1000-1CR - is currently listed on Amazon for $434, down from a typical price closer to $580. That’s a 25% drop, and based on price tracking data, it’s hovering near its lowest recorded levels over the past several months.
The watch previously peaked at a way higher price, and has averaged roughly $518 over time. The current Amazon price $434 puts it well below that average, though not the absolute lowest ever (~$430). In other words, this is about as close to a "good buy" zone as this model has seen recently.
The PRW-B1000 itself sits toward the higher end of Casio’s Pro Trek lineup. It uses analog hands with a digital display, and packs the usual Triple Sensor setup - compass, altimeter/barometer, and thermometer. It also supports both Bluetooth and Multi Band 6 radio sync.
Build is a mix of stainless steel and bio-based resin, with some unusual material choices. The case is flame-resistant, and the band uses CNF-reinforced rubber or Cordura-style fabric depending on the variant - both for the sake durability in outdoor use. The watch is rated for 100 m water resistance and can handle low temperatures down to -10°C.
Battery life is another practical point of this timepiece. Casio’s Tough Solar system can run the watch for around six months on a full charge, extending to roughly two years in power-saving mode. That makes it a low-maintenance option compared to typical quartz watches.
There are a couple of trade-offs, however. At around 79 grams and a fairly thick case (~14.9 mm), it’s not a small watch. The analog-digital layout also adds a fair amount of visual clutter, so if you prefer cleaner displays, this is not for you.
For the current price, though, the value proposition is solid. You’re getting a full sensor suite, dual time-sync systems, and a more rugged build than most watches in this range. If you were already considering a Pro Trek in this category, this is one of the better entry points in recent months.
