The Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 has been officially launched in Japan. This new rainbow model has been rumored since late 2025, with images leaking its design earlier in 2026.
Now, Casio has listed the G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 at its online store in Japan, where it will shortly be available to pre-order for ¥121,000 (~$761). This new model has also been listed on the brand’s international website, confirming that it will be released in other countries in the future. However, the company has yet to indicate in which markets and when it will be available, and at what price. Rumors suggest that it could cost £770 in the UK.
Casio’s G-Shock GMW-BZ5000RC-1 is a full-metal watch with a stainless steel case, bezel and strap. The centre of the case has an ion-plated rainbow finish, mirrored on the watch’s dial. Plus, the glass surface also has a rainbow vapor deposition.
This 5000 line model has a negative (black background) MIP LCD for improved readability. Users can customize the display by choosing between two font styles and a range of layouts. This is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) Bluetooth watch, with features like automatic time adjustments available via the brand’s app. On watch tools include support for dual world time zones, a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. Plus, this model is water resistant to 200 m, and Tough Solar charging extends the battery life.
