Casio's new affordable watches with 10-year battery now official

Casio has now officially listed the AE-1600HX series on its international website, which confirms all the details that previously surfaced via retailer listings. The models include AE-1600HX-1BV and AE-1600HX-3AV - both of these are budget-friendly digital watches with a long battery life and a somewhat large case design, characteristic of the AE-1600H series.
The AE-1600HX series' biggest selling point will most likely be its claimed 10-year battery life, thanks to a CR2032 cell. It also carries 100-meter water resistance, which already brings it closer to Casio’s typical entry-level sport watches. Plus, the AE-1600HX-1BV sports a negative display - the all black design is usually more popular among buyers.
Case size is listed at 54.1 × 49.7 × 15.9 mm, with a weight of 55 grams. The construction uses resin for both the case and strap, along with a resin glass covering the display. One of the more unique additions to these two is the "Extra Long Strap" design. The watch supports wrist sizes from 145 mm to 235 mm, making it more flexible for larger wrists or for wearing over clothing.
Functionally, the watch includes dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer (up to 24 hours), five alarms with snooze, hourly signal, and a full auto-calendar extending to the year 2099. There’s also an LED backlight with amber illumination.
These models were already showing up on international retailer websites in recent weeks, which gave us an idea of most of the specs ahead of time. This official listing doesn’t introduce anything new. There is no pricing info either, but the watches will get a "Buy" button this month itself (April 2026). On David et Philly, it's listed for €39.90 (~$46), so we can expect the official price to be the same, or lower.
