Casio launches two new Pro Trek watches with duplex LCDs and Triple Sensor tech

Alongside the new Casio GMC-B2100 and GMW-BZ5000 models, Casio has also introduced a new Pro Trek lineup with the PRW-69 series, including the PRW-69Y-1 and PRW-69YB-3. Both models are scheduled for an April 2026 release and share the same core hardware, with differences mainly in strap material and color.
The case measures 52.5 × 46.4 × 13.8 mm and weighs 73 grams. It uses a mix of stainless steel and bio-based resin, with a gray ion-plated bezel. The big material change is the flame-retardant center case, which meets V-0 grade standards and is designed to self-extinguish once a heat source is removed. This is paired with a CNF-reinforced rubber strap.
The PRW-69Y-1 comes with a standard black resin band, while the PRW-69YB-3 switches to a green fabric-style strap, which gives it a slightly more outdoor look. Both support wrist sizes from 145 to 215 mm and have a relatively compact profile for a Pro Trek model.
This is a Triple Sensor watch. It includes a digital compass, altimeter (-700 to 10,000 m), barometer with pressure trend graph, and thermometer. The duplex LCD is key here - compass graphics have been overlaid on top of the main display for easier real-time navigation. Casio says the compass can run continuously for up to 60 seconds, and directional tracking is shown dynamically.
Other standard features include sunrise/sunset time display, world time across 31 time zones, five daily alarms, and a countdown timer. The watch also supports Multi Band 6 radio time calibration and Tough Solar charging, with a rated battery life of around six months on normal use - this can extend to roughly 26 months in power-saving mode.
Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, and the watch is also designed to handle low temperatures down to -10°C. The LED backlight supports selectable durations and includes an afterglow function.
Availability is expected from April, with regional pricing yet to be confirmed.
