Two new Casio AE-1600H rugged watches launching soon

Two new Casio AE-1600H series watches are on the way. The AE-1600HX-1B and the AE-1600HX-3A have been spotted at several retailers worldwide, like Bello, revealing their design and specifications.

The new Casio AE-1600H watches, also known as the AE-1600HX-1BV and the AE-1600HX-3AV, have a resin casing measuring 54.1 x 49.7 x 15.9 mm (~1.78 x 1.96 x 0.63 inches). This is accompanied by a matching resin strap, with the watch weighing 55 g (~1.94 oz) in total. The AE-1600HX-1B is an all black watch with a negative (black background) LCD, while the AE-1600HX-3AV has a khaki case and strap, and a positive (light background) display.

Casio’s AE-1600 has a larger LCD, making it easier to read, with an accompanying LED backlight ensuring you can tell the time in any environment. Features include support for dual time zones, a stopwatch, a timer and an alarm. It runs on a 3570 module, with 100 m water resistance and a 10 year battery life expectancy. Images of both models have been shared by Vietnamese retailer Bello.

According to French retailer David et Philly, the Casio AE-1600HX-3AV will retail for €39.90 in this market; this is the same price as older models like the AE-1600H-1AV (Casio Germany). It is unclear precisely when the Casio AE-1600HX-1B and the AE-1600HX-3A watches will launch. However, Bello suggests that these watches could be released in April 2026.
