Two new red Casio G-Shock watches are on the way

More details about two unreleased Casio G-Shock watches have leaked. The G-Shock DW-5600AKA-4 and DW-6900AKA-4, upcoming Japan-inspired limited edition watches, were rumored earlier in 2026.
Now, images of the Casio G-Shock DW-5600AKA-4 and DW-6900AKA-4 watches have been shared by sources including Casioblog and @morgan_gshock (post below). Earlier rumors suggested that these products, referred to by different leaks as the Asakusa Kaminarimon series or the Akachochin series, are designed to look like red lanterns, often found outside izakaya eating and drinking spots in Japan.
The leaked photos of the G-Shock “AKA” watches show red resin casing and straps, decorated with black Japanese characters which say “shock resistant”. The metal case back is also engraved with a lantern motif, and each model will come with custom packaging. Thai retailer Hatyai-Nalika has also confirmed many of the watches’ specifications in two product listings.
The G-Shock DW-5600AKA-4, as with other DW-5600 watches, is a rectangular digital watch with an LED display. Meanwhile, the G-Shock DW-6900AKA-4 is a round watch with a smaller digital display and a Triple Graph above this. Features include a stopwatch, a countdown timer and an alarm. Plus, these models are water resistant to 200 m and have a backlight to illuminate the display in the dark.
It remains to be seen when the Casio G-Shock DW-5600AKA-4 and DW-6900AKA-4 watches will be released and at what price. They are expected to launch in Japan first, but could roll out to other markets like Germany, where the brand has sold older Japan-themed models like the Hokusia-inspired DW-5600KHK25-1.
