Casio releasing new watches with slim digital display

Casio is set to release three new Vintage AQ-240E watches in April 2026. These hybrid watches have a square dial with rounded edges, set in a silver-tone chrome-plated resin case with a similar design.
The three new models are the Casio Vintage AQ-240E-2A (light blue sunburst dial), the AQ-240E-4A (matte orange dial) and the AQ-240E-7A2 (matte off-white dial). Each has a slim casing, measuring 40.9 x 35.8 x 8.1 mm (~1.61 x 1.41 x 0.32 inches), and weighs 51 g (~1.80 oz). These hybrid watches feature a narrow digital display in the 6 o’clock position and two analog hands.
Casio’s AQ-240E runs on the Module 5154, with support for dual time zones. There are tools like a daily alarm, hourly time signals, and a 1/100th second stopwatch. Plus, users can choose between 12 and 24 hour time formats, and the calendar is fully automatic. This model is marketed as water resistant for everyday use and has a two-year battery life expectancy.
According to Vietnamese retailer Bello, the Casio Vintage AQ-240E-2A, AQ-240E-4A, and AQ-240E-7A2 watches will launch in Japan in April 2026. They are expected to arrive in Vietnam at a later date with an RRP of 2,520,000 VND (~$96). Plus, French retailer David et Philly has listed these models as May 2026 releases with a €59.50 RRP. For context, this is the same price as older models like the AQ-240E-7A (Casio DE).
