The Heir transforms Casio, Rolex and others into smartwatches

With The Heir, Ganance offers a gadget for all those who prefer an analog watch but don't want to do without the functionality of a smartwatch altogether. The Heir is a 3 millimeter thick disc with a diameter of 30 millimeters and a weight of 5 grams, which is simply stuck onto the back of any watch, such as a Casio 1302PD ($49 on Amazon).
The manufacturer emphasizes that no adhesive is required for this, instead the disc is supposed to "suck" itself onto the back of a watch through thousands of air channels, allowing the gadget to be removed without leaving any residue. The Heir then offers two main functions. Firstly, a vibration motor that notifies users when a call or message arrives on the connected smartphone.
And secondly, movement sensors that allow you to record steps taken, time spent being active, calories burned and distance covered. All this data can be synchronized with Apple Health or Google Health. However, The Heir does not have a heart rate sensor, but does not require a subscription to use all the features and the associated smartphone app. The battery life is modest at 42 hours, so the gadget needs to be charged at least every other day.
Prices and availability
The Heir can now be purchased at the manufacturer's online store for $149. Delivery will begin in spring 2026. Ganance also delivers internationally.
