NASA Tribute watch combines Amida Digitrend from 1976 with space-age design

The Amida Digitrend NASA Tribute Limited Edition is a reissue of the Amida Digitrend from 1976, but the new Swiss-made watch has a fundamentally revised design. The shiny white ceramic case with red NASA logo and the spherical, transparent plastic packaging are allusions to the space shuttles of the Apollo program.
The strap combines white leather with a Velcro fastener, as used by astronauts, allowing the length of the strap to be infinitely adjusted. The back is made of stainless steel and provides a view of the Soprod Newton P092 movement, which is equipped with 23 rubies and only needs to be wound every 44 hours. The almost square case has an edge length of 39 millimetres and a height of 15.6 millimetres with a weight of 90 grams.
The watch is water-resistant to 5 ATM. The dial is probably the most special feature, as it is not visible from the top, as is the case with most watches, but from the side that faces inwards on the wrist. The dial consists of two wheels that display the hours and minutes, with the hour wheel jumping from one digit to the next every full hour to ensure perfect legibility. Sapphire crystal protects the dial from scratches.
