Xiaomi releases new dual-filter smart air purifier in more countries

The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier Max is now available in Europe. The company describes this smart home device as fast-acting, with “enhanced home protection” thanks to its dual-filter design.
Xiaomi’s Mijia Smart Air Purifier Max has dual UVC modules, removing 99.9% of viruses like H1N1 and E. coli, according to the company. The model is SGS certified for allergen removal, tilering out pollen, pet dander and dust mites. It is also said to remove 99% of formaldehyde, with the detected level of the chemical shown in real-time on the integrated display. Here, users can also view metrics like the temperature, humidity and PM2.5 level. This information can also be viewed in the Xiaomi Home app, through which users can remotely manage the device.
Xiaomi claims that the appliance can purify a small 10 m² (~108 ft²) room in as little as 1.6 minutes, due to its 1,006.5 m³/h (35,300 ft³/h) clean air delivery rate (CADR). It can cover an area of 63 to 108 m² (678 to 1,164 ft²), with a 15,000 L clean air output per minute. Plus, it can run relatively quietly, generating as little as 19.1 dB(A) noise when operating, meaning it could be used in a bedroom overnight. The air purifier measures 290 x 290 x 760 mm (~11.4 x 11.4 x 29.9 inches), with omnidirectional wheels making it easier to manoeuvre.
You can now buy the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier Max in countries like Spain and France for €499.99. The product is also listed at the brand’s online store in Germany, though it is not currently available to purchase here.
