Two new Xiaomi smart air conditioners appear outside of China

Two new Xiaomi smart air conditioners have appeared. The Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-Star 1.0HP Inverter and the Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-Star 1.5HP Inverter are now available at the brand’s official online store in Malaysia, where the company already sells two older Mijia Air Conditioner Pro models, which launched globally in 2025.
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-Star 1.0HP and 1.5HP are both cooling-only models, with a 108 mm (~4.25 inch) diameter fan and an air flow rate of 700 m/h³. Each offers an up-down swing mode; for comparison, the Pro variant offers up-down and left-right swing. While the 1.0HP version is designed for an area measuring 10 to 15 m² (~108 to 161 ft²), thanks to its greater cooling capacity, the 1.5HP version is suited to larger areas measuring 16 to 22 m² (~172 to 237 ft²).
Xiaomi’s Mijia Air Conditioner Eco has a 4 out of 5 star energy efficiency rating by the Malaysian Suruhanjaya Tenaga standard. It is also listed with a Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor (CSPF) of 5.4. Smart features of this model include the Mijia AI Energy Saving mode and a self-cleaning functionality. Users can remotely control the device via the Xiaomi Home app, where they can also monitor energy usage and receive filter cleaning reminders. Plus, it works with Google Home and support Google Assistant voice commands.
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco products are listed with the same RRP as their Pro predecessors: RM 1,899 (~$470) for the 1.0HP version and RM 2,199 (~$544) for the 1.5HP version. The appearance of the Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco models could point to an upcoming rollout to other markets like Europe, where the company has already released its Mijia Air Conditioner Pro models (Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 3.5 kW curr. €629 at Xiaomi Store). However, this has yet to be officially confirmed by Xiaomi.
