New Xiaomi smart energy-efficient air conditioners launching in Europe

Xiaomi has listed four new Mijia Air Conditioner models on its global website. These four versions of the Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco follow in the footsteps of the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro devices released in markets like Europe in 2025. They also share similarities with the Mijia Air Conditioner Eco 4-Star products recently spotted in Malaysia,
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco is available with four levels of heating and cooling capacity: 2.6 kW, 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.0 kW. Each of these up-down swing appliances is said to start cooling a space in 30 seconds, or heating an area in 60 seconds. They are designed to suit a range of room sizes, from 10-20 m² (~108-215 ft²) up to 50-70 m² (~538-753 ft²). Plus, they are marketed as energy-efficient appliances, thanks in part to the Mijia AI Energy Saving Mode, which is said to reduce energy usage by as much as 24.5% for the 3.5 kW model.
The two smaller Mijia Air Conditioners, the 2.6 kW and 3.5 kW versions, have a 108 mm (~4.3 inches) long cross-flow fan, while the larger two variants, the 5.2 kW and 7.0 kW models, have a wider 118 mm (~4.6 inches) fan. Similarly, the smaller sizes have a reduced operating temperature range of -20 to 60°C (~-4 to 140°F), compared to -32 to 60°C (~-26 to 140°F).
Xiaomi’s Mijia Air Conditioner Eco comes with a remote control and can also be managed through the Xiaomi home app or with Google Assistant voice commands. In the app, users can monitor energy usage, push OTA updates to the device and get filter cleaning reminders. Other smart features include a customizable sleep mode, a dry mode to lower humidity, a timer, and auto restart after a power outage.
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco products are expected to be released in Europe, as each has an EU energy efficiency label presented on its ‘Specs’ page. However, exactly when they will arrive in countries like Spain and Germany, and at what price, remains to be seen.
