More than just mowing: Yarbo M Series garden robot receives exciting new upgrade

About a month ago, the Yarbo M Series, which was presented by the manufacturer at CES 2026 earlier this year, launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The campaign has been a resounding success, raising around €2.3 million to date. Recently, Yarbo revealed details of an exciting upgrade to the compact version of its versatile garden robot.
As announced by the manufacturer, the Yarbo M Series now features a Smart Assist Module (SAM). This module enhances the Yarbo M Series Core's capabilities. Previously, when equipped with either the mower or snow plough module, the M Series could already be used in "Patrol" and "Follow-Me" modes, as well as for towing small loads of up to 100 kg autonomously.
Thanks to the new SAM module, these functions can now be used with the Core alone, without the need for a mower or snow attachment. This means the versatile garden robot can do more than just mow the lawn (including optional edge trimming), collect leaves and grass clippings in a grass catcher or clear snow with a plough. It can also regularly patrol a property or automatically follow a person at a distance of about 2–5 metres.
Those who wish to secure the SAM upgrade via the Kickstarter campaign can simply add the 'M Series Smart Assist Module' to their order. It is being offered at the discounted price of $199 (approx. €173), which is $50 less than the planned future MSRP of $249. Existing Yarbo M Series backers on Kickstarter can adjust their current pledge to include the SAM module.
