Affordable 11 mm f/2.8 full-frame lens launches for Sony, Nikon, Canon and Leica

The latest full-frame lens from Brightin Star is extremely wide-angled with a focal length of 11 mm and achieves an angle of view of 182 degrees. As is usual with a fisheye lens, lines become more distorted the closer they are to the edge of the image, and corresponding software can rectify images if necessary.
Thanks to the high speed of f/2.8, the lens is also suitable for landscape photography at night. Thanks to a relatively complex construction of eleven lenses in six groups, including two ED lenses, high image quality should be achieved even at open aperture, but the manufacturer's MTF curves show that the image sharpness drops off visibly in the outer third.
The Brightin Star 11 mm f/2.8 II does not have autofocus, but the extremely large depth of field and the printed focus scale make manual focusing comparatively easy. Eight aperture blades are designed to ensure that small, bright light sources such as lanterns are displayed in a star shape when stopped down. The lens can focus on objects at a distance of just 0.17 meters. The 550 gram lens body is made entirely of aluminum.
