Insta360 is now selling a new MagSafe-compatible camera accessory. Available globally in two variants, the Insta360 Snap can be purchased with an optional selfie light. A 3.5-inch viewfinder display is common across both models.

Insta360 has not confirmed when it will be launching new action or vlogging cameras yet. For context, the company is rumoured be developing the Insta360 X6 and Insta360 Luna. In the meantime, it has presented the Snap, a magnetic accessory that aims to simplify selfies using smartphone rear-facing cameras.

On the one hand, the Snap features a 3.5-inch viewfinder with touchscreen controls that mimic an iPhone's default camera app. As the video below highlights, this touchscreen allows one to cycle between focal lengths and multiple camera lenses. For reference, this display outputs at 480 x 800 pixels.

On the other hand, the Snap can be purchased with a selfie light to maximise image quality in low-light conditions. According to Insta360, this light offers three colour temperatures and five brightness levels; these can be adjusted by dedicated buttons on the accessory's lower edge.

While Insta360 advertises the Snap with iPhones, the new accessory is also compatible with Android smartphones featuring USB Type-C ports. Please see the image below for a full list of officially compatible devices. The Insta360 Snap starts at $79.99 and rises to $89.99 with a built-in light. Please see Insta360's website for more details.
