New Xiaomi TV Stick HD launching globally

Xiaomi has announced that it will launch the TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) in markets worldwide. It recently appeared on the brand’s global website, around eight months after the TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) was revealed.
The Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) is designed to be used with a TV or another display, providing the user with access to the Google TV. This brings a wide range of apps, including Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV. There is also Google Assistant for voice commands and wireless screensharing from a mobile device via Google Cast. Plus, this 1080p@60Hz model offers support for HDR10+, Dolby Audio and DTS:X.
Xiaomi’s TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) connects to your chosen device via an HDMI port, and also requires a Wi-Fi connection; it supports dual-band Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0. Plus, it comes with a remote control with dedicated buttons to trigger the voice assistant, Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube. This model is powered by a Mali G31 MP2 GPI and a quad-core Cortex-A55, with 38% better CPU performance compared to the older Mi TV Stick. The compact device has a rounded body, measuring 107.4 x 30 x 14 mm (~4.23 x 1.18 x 0.55 inches).
It remains to be seen when the Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) will launch globally, and at what price. As a guide, the more powerful Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) was released in European countries like Germany with a €59.99 RRP.
