Shelly releases new presence sensor with multi-protocol connectivity

Shelly has released its new Presence Gen4 sensor in Europe. The smart home device was on show at IFA 2025 and has since been spotted at the brand’s Amazon storefront in various European countries.
You can now buy the Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor at the brand’s online store in EU countries for €69.98. At the time of writing, the product is in stock in black, while the white version remains unavailable. The device is also currently unavailable via Amazon, despite the existence of a product listing in countries like Germany.
The Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor is designed for use at home or in a business environment. For example, it can be used to trigger zone-specific lighting, for improved energy efficiency, or as a security device. This gadget can track up to six people across ten areas, covering an area measuring up to 42 m² (~450 ft²). According to Shelly, the sensor can detect both still and moving presences, with adjustable sensitivity enabling it to ignore robot vacuum cleaners, pets and kids. Plus, the integrated light sensor can distinguish between bright light, twilight and darkness.
As this is a Shelly Gen4 product, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter, allowing it to work with many smart home networks. Shelly’s Presence Gen4 sensor can be wall-mounted or placed on a flat surface. The compact device measures 64 x 41 x 26 mm (~2.52 x 1.61 x 1.02 inches) without the accompanying stand. It remains to be seen when the Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor will be officially released in the US.
