Shelly could be about to release its new Presence Gen4 sensor. Unveiled several months ago, this smart home product supports Zigbee and Matter, and offers a wide range of customization options.

The Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor may be about to launch. This smart home accessory, designed to detect people in one or multiple zones, was on show at IFA 2025 alongside other devices like the Wall Display XL.

Now, the Shelly Presence Gen4 has been spotted in Amazon product listings in countries including the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. While this retailer has not revealed the price of this product, other retailers like Reichelt Elektronik have listed the device for around €83-85.

Shelly’s Presence Gen4 can cover an area measuring up to 42 m² (~450 ft²), and detect up to six people when they are still or moving. Users can set up to ten monitoring zones, and the sensitivity can be adjusted to prevent triggers from pets or robot vacuum cleaners. This smart home device also has an integrated light sensor, which can be used to detect the brightness level in the room.

Users can install the Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor on a wall or place it on a table. Connectivity options include 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, Zigbee 3.0 and Matter-over-Wi-Fi. Plus, it will work with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Home. This allows for a wide range of smart home integrations and smartphone notifications via various apps. With a white plastic casing, it measures 64 x 41 x 26 mm (~2.52 x 1.61 x 1.02 inches).

It is unclear precisely when the Shelly Presence Gen4 sensor will be released in Europe or in other markets like North America.
