Xiaomi launches new dual fan smart air conditioner

The Xiaomi Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Dual Fan is now available to pre-order in China. As its name indicates, this new smart model has dual fans and dual motors for ultra-fast cooling and heating.

According to Xiaomi, the Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Dual Fan can begin heating a space in as little as 2 minutes, or cooling a room in around 1 minute. It can cover an area of 140 m², and the air flow rate of this model starts from 470 m³/h. The company suggests that temperatures should not fluctuate by more than 0.3°C, and that this is a ‘super energy efficient’ product with an annual performance factor of 6.55.

Xiaomi’s Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Dual Fan supports HyperOS Connect, for app-based controls and Xiao AI voice commands. It can be paired with optional accessories like the Xiaomi Smart Air Management Panel or a human-sensor air control panel to intelligently direct the air flow towards or away from people in the room, as desired. Users can also add a fresh air module and various filters to remove formaldehyde and other pollutants.

In China, the Xiaomi Mi Home Central Air Conditioner Dual Fan starts from CNY 17,999 (~$2,611). The company has yet to indicate whether or not this model could be released more widely; it already sells a limited selection of smart air conditioners in countries like Spain.
