Amazfit smartwatch gets two new running features in latest update

A new update is rolling out to users of the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch. This wearable was last updated in February 2026 with the version 3.39.0.4 release, which added a Route Planning feature.
Now, as reported by users on Reddit, the Amazfit Balance 2 is receiving firmware version 3.43.0.3. According to the release notes, this smartwatch gains two new features for runners. The first is support for collecting lactate threshold data and a lactate threshold test. This metric can help the wearer to understand the intensity of their training and their endurance level. The second is the ability to adjust the smart Zepp Coach running training plans. Users can now alter their weekly sessions or skip a day as needed.
Alongside this, the version 3.43.0.3 update is said to improve the sleep algorithm, the prompts linked to golf course map downloads, and the segment count shown on workout interval reminder pages. Plus, Zepp Health, the company behind the Amazfit brand, has tackled issues with diving activity reminder settings and system stability problems. You can view the complete change log below.
Typically, updates roll out in phases to users of the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $249.99 at Amazon). They have likely started in countries like the US, Canada and China, with a European rollout expected in the coming days. When available in your region, you will be able to download the firmware via the Zepp app.
