New Amazfit smartwatch update brings several features including Golf Mode

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch is receiving a new update. This flagship wearable, launched in February 2026, was last updated shortly after it was released with firmware version 3.1.6.1.
Now, Amazfit has announced software version 4.6.5.2 for the T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch. There are a couple of big additions with this release. The first is the new Lactate Threshold training feature, with data captured automatically during Outdoor Running and Track Running workouts. The second is a new Golf Mode, which brings with it the data for over 40,000 golf courses globally, distances to the front, center and back of the green or hazards, and a digital scorecard.
Also listed in the release notes, shared in the 4PDA Forum, is a new Bluetooth disconnection notification. It is worth noting that this is disabled by default, and can be found under System Settings > Bluetooth > Disconnection Reminder On/Off. There are new icon types that can be used when saving location points or places of interest during a workout. Plus, the sleep algorithm has been optimized for better detection of the various sleep stages.
Firmware version 4.6.5.2 for the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch (curr. $549.99 at Amazon) will be downloadable via the Zepp app. However, it is likely that this update is rolling out in phases, starting in countries like the US, Canada and China before progressing to Europe and other regions.
