Amazfit’s Balance 2 smartwatch is receiving update v 3.46.0.1
Amazfit is rolling out a software update for one of its smartwatches, with three new BioCharge related features. Alongside this, users of the Balance 2 also receive an algorithm improvement and a range of bug fixes.

The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch is receiving a new update: firmware version 3.46.0.1. This update arrives a few weeks after the wearable received software version 3.43.0.3, which added the new lactate threshold feature alongside additional customization options for Zepp Coach training plans.

With firmware version 3.46.0.1, Amazfit Balance 2 users are getting a new BioCharge Life Log feature. It allows you to record events like illness, travel, stress or alcohol consumption, which could impact your BioCharge energy level score. There is a new BioCharge alert feature, notifying the user when a preset number is reached during a workout. Plus, a self-check or self-test tool can intelligently detect abnormalities in your data compared to historical trends, flagged to the user as a possible sign of stress or illness.

According to the change log, Amazfit has made changes to the BioCharge algorithm, with optimizations to cover a broader range of scenarios and to enhance the accuracy of the metric. Also listed are bug fixes for a music playback problem, and tracking skipping and playlist-related issues. There is also a bug fix linked to Zepp Coach workout reminder pages, and general system stability improvements.

Amazfit’s Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon) can be updated to firmware version 3.46.0.1 via the Zepp app. However, some users may not be able to install this update just yet, as it appears to be rolling out in phases.
