Flagship Amazfit smartwatch gets new features in app update

Amazfit’s T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch is currently receiving firmware version 4.7.3.1. The rollout began just a couple of weeks after the brand released the 4.6.5.2 update, which brought the brand’s new Lactate Threshold metric to the wearable.
With firmware version 4.7.3.1, T-Rex 3 Pro users can now connect an FTMS-compatible third-party rowing machine to the smartwatch to collect power and distance metrics during Rowing Machine workouts. For Outdoor Run and Trail Run activities, you can now view equivalent pace data by segment. On the mid-workout track page menu, there is a new Navigation section. Plus, the Amazfit smartwatch’s Battery Manager can now display data linked to the wearable’s integrated LED flashlight.
The final new feature with Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro firmware version 4.7.3.1 is a toggle setting, allowing users to quickly switch between status indicators on the watch face. On top of this, there are optimizations for the navigation experience, resolving issues like missed turn reminders. The AMRAP mode, linked to workouts like HIIT and HYROX, has a longer duration of up to 99 minutes. The complete change log can be found in the screenshot below.
As is typical with these smartwatch updates, firmware version 4.7.3.1 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the T-Rex 3 Pro (curr. $399.99 at Amazon). When it becomes available to you, you will be able to trigger the installation process via the Zepp app.
