Tunnel Runner: 3D game for Amazfit smartwatches is free

Zepp Health, or Amazfit, also offers its own app store, where additional apps are available for various Amazfit smartwatches. Now, the first video game with 3D graphics has arrived in this app store. Unsurprisingly, expectations need to be lowered quite a bit. This is more of a small game and a pleasant way to pass the time, more for minutes than hours. Tunnel Runner is an endless runner in which the player has to avoid surfaces. Controls are handled simply via the touchscreen. We did not have the gaming time of our lives with Tunnel Runner, but the graphics are reasonably smooth and the controls feel fluid.

The title is available for various smartwatches, including the Amazfit T-Rex 3, also in more or less specially adapted versions. Tunnel Runner is in active development, and at this point it should definitely still be possible to influence development with suggestions. Discussions have not only focused on the game itself but also on options such as gyroscope controls. We do not expect Tunnel Runner to become something like a Doom-style title, but it is an interesting example of how 3D graphics can run reasonably smoothly even on relatively low-performance devices. We have already reported on 2D games in the app store for Amazfit smartwatches, and there is a considerably larger selection of those titles.
