Garmin has begun offering a new update for the Instinct 3 series. Also available on the Instinct Crossover AMOLED, the beta update lacks any of the bugs that Instinct 3 and Instinct Crossover AMOLED owners have been complaining about publicly.

Garmin has issued a new beta update to the Instinct E, Instinct 3, Instinct Crossover AMOLED and their various spinoffs. For context, the company announced the rollout of Beta Version 14.09 just under two weeks ago.

At the time, Garmin only claimed to have resolved two outstanding bugs. Currently, it seems that v14.xx beta development is ongoing, with Garmin keeping the Instinct E, Instinct 3, Instinct Crossover AMOLED (curr. $649 on Amazon) on System Software 13.29 for now. However, its newer Beta Version 14.12 update appears to bring nothing new to the table.

Instead, the company refers to the same changelog it included in Beta Version 14.09. Nonetheless, the numerous reports that exist on Garmin's public bug reports channel indicate that v14.12 suffers from many of the same bugs as older firmware.

For instance, Strength Training is still said to crash upon starting after updating to Beta Version 14.12. Also, some Instinct 3 Solar owners are suffering from the display backlight refusing to time out on the same firmware. Please see Garmin's bug reports channel for more information.
