Garmin devices get new data sharing feature with Bosch integration

Garmin and Bosch have announced a new e-bike related integration. Features allowing data to be transferred between devices from the two companies have been announced as part of the broader Bosch eBike Systems Innovations 2026.
The Bosch Live Data Interface will allow e-bike users to view a range of data points in real-time on a connected gadget, like a smartwatch, helmet or glasses. Supported metrics include speed, time, distance, remaining battery level and eBike Lock status.
This Garmin and Bosch integration is currently rolling out to users of Garmin’s Edge bike computers in the beta version 31.23 software. Compatible models include the Edge MTB, the Edge 540/840/1040 (Edge 1040 curr. $699.99 at Amazon) and the Edge 550/850/1050. It is unclear when this feature could roll out in a stable update for all users. Whether or when support could be added for Garmin smartwatches remains to be seen.
Another feature mentioned in the Bosch eBike Systems Innovations 2026 announcement is the performance upgrade 2.0, for enhanced acceleration with 120 Nm of torque and up to 600% motor support. Extended Boost has been improved and is customizable via the eBike Flow app. Plus, the Trick Check feature can automatically detect moves like Jumps, Wheelies and Stoppies.
