Garmin smartwatch update brings new navigation-related bug fix

Garmin’s Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct Crossover, and Instinct E smartwatches are receiving a new update: beta version 14.13. This update follows the 14.09 and 14.12 beta releases in April 2026, which fixed issues with a workout animation and the recently added Stocks Glance.
The change log for beta version 14.13 brings another bug fix to the Instinct 3 and related smartwatches. This tackles a problem experienced by users when navigating to a saved location. Further details about this issue are not shared in the associated Garmin forum post.
Unfortunately, an older bug linked to the Instinct 3 smartwatch’s Strength Training workout appears to remain unresolved with the beta version 14.13 release. One user has flagged this issue multiple times in the Beta Bug Reports section of the Garmin Forum. Most recently, the user confirmed that they were still experiencing a “rebooting and restarting” issue after installing the latest update.
According to Garmin, beta version 14.13 has been pushed to around half of the beta testers with Instinct 3 smartwatches (45 mm AMOLED curr. $399.99 at Amazon). The update is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA), meaning it should reach the wearable automatically when connected to Wi-Fi or the Garmin Connect app.
