Segway’s new compact cargo e-bike launches with impressive 128 km range

Segway introduced the Muxi, a compact cargo electric bike, earlier this year at CES 2026. Designed for everyday riders in mind, the Muxi is now officially available for purchase via Segway’s official website for $1,699.99. Buyers can choose from two fresh color options, including dusty sage and olive rush.
Despite boasting a tiny footprint compared to other cargo e-bikes, the Muxi doesn't fall behind when it comes to power and range. Speaking more precisely, the cargo electric bike is equipped with a powerful 750 W rear hub motor, which is capable of providing 80 Nm of maximum torque and 20 mph (32.1 km/h) top speed. Segway packs a massive 717 Wh battery pack into the e-bike, which is said to deliver up to 80 miles (128 km) of range on a single charge.
You get a step-through design for easy mounting and dismounting. However, there’s also an option to install a storage module between the rider's knees. Weighing around 33 kg (72.7 lbs), the Muxi isn’t your normal lightweight city e-bike. The robust frame is said to handle 418 lbs (189.6 kg) of payloads.
Besides the sturdy design, the Muxi e-bike features a 9-speed Shimano cues transmisson and hydraulic disc brakes (front and rear) with two pistons and 180 mm rotors. Segway has also incorporated essential safety features into the vehicle, including a traction control system, hill descent control, hill start assist, kinetic energy recovery, and adaptive power.
Furthermore, riders can also tweak the e-bike's settings and monitor overall performance directly via the Segway eBike companion app. Other features include IPX7 ingress protection, a battery management system, a torque sensor, Apple Find My support, AirLock Tech, GPS, a 600-lumen front light, turn indicators, and a taillight.
