Heybike launches new affordable moped-style e-bike with full suspension for $999

Heybike has unveiled its new electric bike, the Saturn, in the global market. This is the company’s first e-bike that features a retro motorcycle-inspired design. Heybike packs an interesting set of features into the Saturn. Speaking more precisely, the e-bike carries UL 2849 certification.
The electric moped-style e-bike is powered by a 1,000 W rear hub motor, which is said to deliver up to 1,800 W peak output, 95 Nm of torque and a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h). Advertised as the Class 3 e-bike, it can unlock higher speeds of up to 40 mph (64 km/h). Unlike other e-bikes, the Heybike Saturn offers two battery options for riders. To be more precise, riders can choose either a single 957 Wh battery pack or a dual battery setup that doubles the capacity to 1,931.6 Wh.
As for range, the company claims that the e-bike offers up to 50 miles (80 km) of range for the single battery pack and up to 90 miles (145 km) when paired with a dual battery setup. Besides, the electric bike is paired with two 20 x 4” Chaoyang fat tires, complemented by full suspension with a 140 mm hydraulic front fork and rear spring suspension and hydraulic disc brakes.
Furthermore, you get a TFT color display, which shows speed, battery levels, and more. Thanks to the Heybike smart companion app support, you can view real-time speed, distance, and also battery level information on your smartphone, with further journey insights available in the app after your ride. Heybike’s latest offering is capable of handling 330 lbs (149.6 kg) of maximum payload. Other features include IPX6/IPX5 water resistance, turn signals, a headlight, a taillight, and a horn.
