Aotos Flux X26: $1,200 e-bike and motorcycle hybrid goes viral on Kickstarter

The Aotos Flux X26 aims to blur the line between a classic e-bike and a lightweight electric motorcycle – and it is clearly striking a chord. On Kickstarter, the hybrid bike has far exceeded its $85,000 funding target and has already raised more than $2 million. The Flux X26 is designed to be as practical for everyday use as an e-bike, while moving more strongly toward electric motorcycles in terms of both looks and technology. Aotos describes the vehicle as “a new class of electric machine” and makes clear in its Kickstarter video that it is intended not only for commuting, but also for fun.
Aotos offers the Flux X26 in two versions. The base model comes with a 750W motor, 1,200W peak output, a top speed of 20 mph and a range of up to 50 miles. According to Aotos, the more powerful Flux X26 Pro also ships with a 20 mph speed limit and a 750W nominal power setting to comply with US Class 2 e-bike regulations, but can reach 28 mph in off-road mode. It also offers up to 70 miles of range thanks to its 48V 21Ah battery and 2,000W peak output. Although the Flux X26 has regular pedals, it can apparently also be powered directly by the motor. Depending on the version, the hybrid e-bikes also include features such as Bluetooth, a digital cockpit, smartphone unlocking, GPS and 4G tracking.
From $1,199, deliveries in June 2026
One major reason for the hype around Aotos’ hybrid e-bike is likely its low price. On Kickstarter, the Flux X26 starts at $1,199, making it comparatively inexpensive even next to conventional e-bikes. The more powerful Flux X26 Pro starts at $1,599. Prices are expected to rise after launch, however. As part of the Kickstarter campaign, Aotos is offering discounts of up to 30%. According to Kickstarter, the manufacturer ships worldwide, with deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2026.
