Raleigh launches new urban e-bike with Gates carbon belt drive and GPS

Last year, Raleigh launched the One electric bike with a step-over frame design. Now, the British premium e-bike manufacturer has unveiled a new One e-bike with a step-through design. Raleigh’s new urban-focused e-bike retains similar features as its step-over model. Plus, you get the same classic Bristis cycling heritage with modern connected tech.
Speaking of powered things, the One electric bike is equipped with a 250 W Mivice rear hub motor that delivers a top assistance speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h). At the heart of the e-bike is the removable 360 Wh battery, which is said to provide up to 80 km (50 miles) in eco mode and 50 km (31 miles) in boost mode. Like its sibiling, it boasts a Gates carbon belt drive for low maintenance and grease-free operation.
Furthermore, there’s an SP Connect mount for the rider’s phone, allowing for hands-free use of Raleigh’s new app. The One sports wide tires paired with hydraulic disc brakes, which are said to ensure a smooth ride even on bumpy roads. Other features include riser bars, a fully integrated and smart-enabled wraparound rear light and a dual front beam. The companion app also unlocks several features, including alarm, GPS location, theft alerts, and auto-unlocking.
The Raleigh One (ST) is €300 cheaper than the One (step-over frame design). The Raleigh One (ST) is priced at €2,399. Interested buyers can choose from either teal or off-white color options. Like the previous model, the company has also introduced a membership mode to use some of its premium features, such as sharing digital unlock access and more. The membership consists of three tiers—the free base, and the paid core, and icon, which start at €7.99 and €14.99, respectively.
