Decathlon has launched the Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD electric all-terrain bike in France. This is the latest model in the Rockrider E-EXPL line, which recently gained the E-EXPL 140 29" semi-rigid electric mountain bike.

The Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD is a versatile e-bike which is suited to both roads and trails. Powered by a Rockrider 36V brushless rear wheel motor, with 316W peak power and 43 Nm torque, the engine can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph). Riders can choose between three assistance modes or switch off the motor as desired. The e-bike is equipped with a 499 Wh lithium-ion battery, which is said to deliver 100 km (~62 miles) range in Eco mode, or 50 km (~31 miles) range in Boost mode. A full recharge of the battery takes around seven hours, and it is said to offer the same range after 500 charge cycles.

Other features of Decathlon’s Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD include a Microshift RD-M25L X7 rear derailleur, a Zoom suspension fork with 100 mm travel, dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes and 29-inch Kenda Booster K1227 tires. On the left handlebar is an LED control screen, where the rider can view information like the assistance mode, current speed and remaining battery level. Here, they can also activate walk assist mode, switch the bike off and control the lights. Plus, there is a USB-C port, which could be used to charge your phone on the go.

In France, the Decathlon Rockrider E-EXPL 100 LTD electric all-terrain bike will retail for €1,699.99. Three sizes are listed - S, M and L - though they are currently out of stock; the medium size bike weighs 26 kg (~57 lbs). Whether or when this model could be released here or in other European countries remains to be seen.
