Xiaomi has unveiled the new Electric Scooter 6 Lite on its global website. This is expected to be the entry-level model in the brand’s new e-scooter range, which is topped by the Electric Scooter 6 Max.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Lite is powered by a 500W peak power motor, which is said to deliver a maximum speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) and to handle inclines of up to 15%. The 216 Wh battery provides up to 25 km (~16 miles) range at 15 kph (~9 mph), or 20 km (~12 miles) range at 25 kph (~16 mph), so it can only be used for shorter trips. Its 25 mm dual-spring front suspension and 10-inch pneumatic tires should make your ride more comfortable. Plus, it has drum brakes at the front and E-ABS at the rear.
Xiaomi’s new Electric Scooter 6 Lite comes with accessories like a 2.5W headlight and a brake light. Plus, there is an integrated display between the handlebars, showing your assistance mode, speed and remaining battery level. On top of this, you can remotely manage the e-scooter or view journey metrics in the Xiaomi Home app. The company markets the Electric Scooter 6 Lite as having a strong yet lightweight design, supporting loads up to 100 kg (~220 lbs) while weighing 18.1 kg (~39.9 lbs). It is IPX4 water resistant, so it can handle infrequent rain or mist, but is not suitable for puddles or constant rain. This model can be folded to make it easier to transport; when folded, it measures 1140 x 512 x 555 mm (~44.9 x 20.2 x 21.9 inches).
It is unclear when Xiaomi will release the Electric Scooter 6 Lite, and how it will be priced across various markets. However, as the entry-level model, it is expected to be the cheapest product in the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 range. As an indication, the older Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd Gen) has an RRP of €329.99 (curr. €279.99 at Mi Store DE).
