New Xiaomi fast charger for e-scooters free for some customers

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger 2 has been released in various European countries. It is designed to quickly charge some of the brand’s recently released e-scooters, as well as future models.

Xiaomi’s Electric Scooter Fast Charger 2 can deliver an up to 268W output. The company estimates that it could fully recharge a compatible e-scooter battery in 3 hours and 20 minutes. According to Xiaomi, that is more than three times faster than the standard charger. Plus, a shorter one hour charge is said to provide around 30 km (~18.6 miles) range.

The Electric Scooter Fast Charger two has a couple of charging modes. When the charge level is low, the battery is charged with a high current, switching to a low-current trickle charging mode for safety as it nears a full charge. Other safety features include overvoltage protection, short circuit protection and overheating protection. This accessory is compatible with the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max and the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra.

You can now buy the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger 2 in countries like Spain, France and Germany for €59.99 at the brand’s official online store. The product will be released in the UK in the near future. It is also worth noting that it is currently offered as a free gift for customers who purchase the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max or the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra in select markets.
