Powerful new Xiaomi e-scooter with Apple Find My on the way

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max is on the way to markets worldwide. It appears to top the brand’s upcoming Electric Scooter 6 range, which was recently spotted on the brand’s global website.

Xiaomi’s Electric Scooter 6 Max is a relatively powerful model, with its motor said to deliver 1,100W peak power. The 450W-rated power brushless DC motor is also said to enable the e-scooter to tackle an up to 24% incline. As is typical, the Xiaomi scooter has a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph), and there are three speed modes to choose from. The Max model has a 468 Wh battery, with an estimated range of 70 km (~43 miles) when you travel at 15 kph (~9 mph); this is lowered to 45 km (~28 miles) at the maximum speed. According to the company, the battery fully recharges in under three hours.

The Electric Scooter 6 Max has enhanced traction and shock absorption thanks to 12-inch tubeless tires. Plus, a 45 mm long-travel fork spring and rear dual springs should also help to make your ride more comfortable. There are disc brakes at the front and rear, with rear E-ABS, and the carbon steel frame, weighing 29.7 kg (~65.5 lbs), is foldable. Other features include a 190 mm (~7.5 inches) wide deck, a dual-control throttle and lights at the front and rear. On the integrated color display, you can view real-time metrics like speed or charging status, with further information available through the Xiaomi Home app. On top of this, you can track the e-scooter’s location using Apple Find My.

Xiaomi has yet to announce the release date and pricing of the new Electric Scooter 6 Max. If it were to be released in EU countries like Germany, it could be priced similarly to the older Electric Scooter 5 Max. This model retails for €599.99 (curr. €499.99 at Xiaomi Store DE).
