Momentum launches new commuter e-bike with cruise control and 55 miles of range

Momentum has launched the new commuter electric bike, the Vida E+ EX, in the global market. The e-bike comes as a direct successor to last year’s Vida E+, bringing some new features to it. However, specs-wise, it retains almost the same specs as its original model. You get the same SyncDrive Move S 500 W motor in the Vida E+ EX. The motor delivers 60 Nm of torque and a top speed of 20 mph (45 km/h).
The company even packs the same 700 Wh battery into the e-bike, which is said to offer 55 miles (88.5 km) of range on pedal assist and 43 miles (69.2 km) using the throttle assist. This time around, Momentum has added a cruise mode that maintains a set speed while riding. Plus, the company also offers a “0-Start” throttle, which allows a rider to accelerate an e-bike without needing to pedal at all. Speaking more precisely, it basically operates similarly to a motorcycle accelerator.
Furthermore, the class 3 e-bike comes with wide 26 x 2.4-inch tires complemented by 4-piston front and rear hydraulic brakes. An LCD display mounted on the handlebar, which shows essential riding information such as speed, battery levels, headlight signs, and more. Momentum’s new commuter e-bike is compatible with a range of accessories, including fenders, a rearview mirror, pannier bags, cargo straps, front and rear shocks, and more.
The rest of the highlights include app-based controls, a Vida e-lock, 48 V 3 A fast charging support, UL-2849 certification, and a torque sensor for responsive assistance. Available in abyss black, pale olive, and caramel cinnamon colorways, the Vida E+ EX is priced at $1,985. Interestingly, the latest e-bike is $495 cheaper than the last-generation model, priced at $2,480. Interested buyers can purchase the e-bike directly from Momentum’s official website.
