Aiphor's Bluefox is following up on its tiny 4-inch NX1 with a new compact Android phone called the Aura A1, with pre-orders now listed on Aiphor. The smartphone features lower-end specifications, starting with a Mediatek G100 SoC.

A China-based brand, Aiphor releases affordable, compact phones, some of which draw heavy inspiration from Samsung's and Apple's flagship models. The list of Aiphor's phone series includes Onemyth, Soyes and Bluefox, with the latter now one member larger.

Display

The Aura A1 grows the display to 4.7 inches, up from the NX1's 4-inch panel, while keeping the small-phone form factor. The LCD panel runs at 90Hz, an upgrade over the NX1's 60Hz display, with up to 600 nits of brightness, and 373 PPI. An ambient light sensor sits in the upper bezel, allowing for a centered single punch-hole cutout.

Camera & Performance

Inside is a MediaTek G100 chipset, a noticeable step up from the NX1's Helio G81, paired with UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X memory in either 8GB+128GB or 12GB+256GB configurations. The rear camera uses a 64MP OV64B sensor housed in a flat, bump-free module, up from the NX1's very dated Samsung ISOCELL 2T7 20MP unit, with a 16MP front camera replacing the NX1's 5MP shooter.

Battery & Haptics

Battery capacity rises to 3500mAh from 3000mAh, and charging speed jumps from 5W to 18W. Bluefox has also fitted a 0908 X-axis linear motor, a haptics component more commonly found in upper-midrange phones like the Pixel 10a and Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which suggests the Aura A1 is aiming past its usual budget bracket on tactile feedback.

QoL features

Perhaps more notable than the raw upgrades are the features Bluefox is adding that were completely absent on the NX1. The original model shipped with no NFC and no fingerprint sensor, relying on PIN or pattern unlock instead. The Aura A1 addresses both gaps, adding a side-mounted fingerprint reader and NFC support, while retaining the NX1's IR blaster. The phone also ships with Android 16, a generation ahead of the NX1's Android 15, and adds several more LTE bands, improving compatibility with US and other major carriers. It will ship with Google Play and GMS certification. It is unlikely that the phone will ever receive an official Android 17 build.

Colors & Availability

Aiphor's listing confirms the Aura A1 will come in pink, white, and black, with a plastic frame and AG matte glass back. Pre-orders are open now for a $30 refundable deposit, with the balance due before shipping and flat-rate $12 shipping worldwide. Aiphor has not announced final retail pricing, but expects the phone to launch in July 2026, pending Google certification approval, with units shipped in the order deposits were placed.
