Urban Comfort: Electric Bike with Belt Drive
The Kumo Urban Comfort enters the market as a fully equipped city e-bike designed for minimal maintenance. Featuring a Gates carbon belt drive, a Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub gear system, and a powerful Bafang M410 mid-motor, the 28-inch commuter also packs a high-capacity 780 Wh battery for extended range. The e-bike is now available for €2,699 in Germany.

With the Urban Comfort, manufacturer Kumo offers an e-bike designed primarily for city use. To minimize maintenance requirements, the manufacturer combines a Gates carbon belt with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed gear system. This configuration protects the drivetrain against weather influences and rust. A belt guard, front and rear fenders, integrated lighting, a kickstand, and an MIK HD-compatible rear rack are included as standard equipment.

The bike is powered by a Bafang M410 mid-drive motor with a maximum output of 700 watts, paired with a 780 Wh battery intended for longer ranges. Although optimized for urban environments, the 28-inch e-bike is equipped with an SR Suntour NVX32 suspension fork and Schwalbe Hurricane tires, making it suitable for country lanes and forest paths.

Hydraulic Shimano MT200 disc brakes provide deceleration, designed to ensure consistent stopping power under full load and at higher speeds. The cockpit features a color display with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, alongside a USB Type-C port for charging smartphones or navigation systems.

The Kumo Urban Comfort is available in three sizes at a retail price of €2,699.
