Huffy has launched a kids-focused electric bike, the Quantis, in the global market. The e-bike features a 250 W rear hub motor, a 24” hardtail frame, and a 280 Wh (36 V, 7.8 Ah) removable battery. Plus, it has an LCD display that shows essential riding information.

Huffy has unveiled the new Quantis electric bike, designed for riders aged 12 and up. The company’s latest kid-friendly e-bike boasts a 24” aluminum hardtail frame paired with 24 x 3 inch knobby tires for extra stability. Interestingly, the manufacturer has offered mechanical disc brakes on the Quantis.

Unlike other e-bikes with powerful motors, such as Amflow's TL Carbon and Trek’s Borrego+ e-bikes, Huffy’s Quantis features a relatively low-power motor and small battery capacity. Speaking more precisely, the commuter e-bike is powered by a 250 W rear hub motor coupled with a 280 Wh (36 V, 7.8 Ah) removable battery, which is said to deliver throttle power up to 15 mph (24 km/h). Unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed any details about its torque, maximum range, and peak power. In contrast, the speed of the e-bike is quite slower than the typical class 2 e-bike limit, which is capped at 20 mph (32 km/h).

What we know is that the e-bike is equipped with a Shimano six-speed drivetrain. Plus, it offers three levels of pedal assist and a thumb throttle for extra power. There’s an LCD display as well, showing riding-related information such as battery levels, assist mode, power level, and speed. Despite costing over $800, it lacks companion app support.

Available in a single cobalt finish, the Huffy Quantis electric bike is priced at $899. Buyers can purchase the e-bike directly from Huffy’s website.
