The upcoming Redmi K100 Pro, teased for ChinaJoy
A new Redmi device, suspected to be the Redmi K100 Pro is set to debut tomorrow at ChinaJoy 2026, and its first official teaser image gives an early look at what to expect. While the company hasn't confirmed a name or specs, the silhouette in the promotional render offers some clues about where the design is headed, and how much of it might carry over from a recent predecessor.

Redmi's first official teaser for its "annual heavyweight product," set to debut tomorrow at ChinaJoy 2026, gives away more than the company probably intended. Even rendered as a glowing red silhouette rather than a straight product shot, the phone's design lines up closely with the K90 Pro Max launched last October, suggesting Redmi is refining last year's language rather than starting over.

The teaser photo for the K100 Pro, edited to reveal more details

The back of the device carries a wide, raised rectangular camera island spanning most of the phone's width, the same basic shape the K90 Pro Max introduced when it dropped the circular housing used on the K80 series. Inside the island, three lens rings sit in a triangular cluster toward the top left, a layout consistent with a triple camera setup. To the right of the cluster is a separate round grille, the same subwoofer-as-deco element the K90 Pro Max used to fill empty space next to its camera module with a Bose-tuned speaker rather than a printed logo. Position, shape, and size all match closely.

The side profile backs this up. The island visibly steps up off the back panel, the same stepped-metal construction the K90 Pro Max used over its fiberglass or denim rear cover. The frame itself is flat-edged with a slight curve toward the corners, the silhouette the K90 series inherited from the Xiaomi 17 line. Up front, the render shows a centered punch-hole selfie camera and slim, even bezels, again nothing that breaks from the K90 Pro Max's flat-display approach.

None of this confirms a name. Redmi has only called this a "major new product" so far, though a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered unit with model number M511CD cleared Geekbench today, and industry consensus points to the Redmi K100 Pro. What the teaser does confirm, on the design side at least, is continuity. Camera layout, speaker placement, island construction, and frame profile all track the K90 Pro Max closely enough that this generation reads as an iteration rather than a reset. Hands-on photos from ChinaJoy tomorrow at 10:30 local time should settle whatever the silhouette is still hiding.
