New full-suspension SUV e-bike launches with 100 Nm and 720 Wh at budget price

With the E26 3.0 Pro, Engwe is now offering a new e-bike in the EU. The model is available for 1,899 euros on Amazon and directly from the manufacturer. The list price is listed as 2,099 euros. Whether this price will actually be charged remains to be seen. A front basket and a bike bag are included free of charge. The E26 3.0 Pro is an SUV e-bike, but it leans more toward the trekking bike category than the mountain bike category. For example, the suspension fork offers 80 millimeters of travel. At 30 millimeters, the air shock’s travel is comparatively short by MTB standards and is therefore more likely to absorb bumps than to make the Engwe E26 3.0 Pro a true alternative to a full-suspension mountain bike.

It’s equipped with a mid-drive motor with a maximum torque of 100 Nm; the rated continuous power is limited to 250 watts. The mid-drive motor shifts the center of gravity more toward the center and downward, which is advantageous. The mid-drive motor is powered by a 720 Wh battery, which is quite generously sized. Just like the suspension and other features, this adds to the weight; at 34 kilograms, you’d probably rather not carry the bike. It features an 8-speed Shimano derailleur and hydraulic disc brakes.

It comes equipped with front and rear fenders, a bike stand, lights, and a rack. The rack is specially adapted to the frame and rests flat against it, which is a plus. It’s fitted with 3-inch-wide, 26-inch tires. It includes an IoT module with GPS tracking and an anti-theft alarm. Navigation instructions can be displayed on the screen.
