New Amazfit smartwatch update adds battery-related tool

The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch is currently receiving a new software update. The version 4.7.3.1 release is similar to a recent update for the brand's T-Rex 3 Pro model. It follows the version 4.6.5.2 update from early April 2026, which added a new golf mode and running metrics to the wearable.
With this new update, Amazfit's T-Rex Ultra 2 gains support for connections to third-party rowing machines, allowing metrics like power and distance to be displayed on the smartwatch during a Rowing Machine workout. For Outdoor Run and Trail Run activities, there is a new ability to view pace data by segment. Plus, "Navigation" has been added to the track page, and the Battery Manager can now show usage metrics specifically for the watch's LED flashlight.
On top of this, the T-Rex Ultra 2 has a new display toggle for face status indicators, found under Settings > Watch Face & Time > Status Indicators. Amazfit also indicates that interactions on workout related pages have been improved, as has the AMRAP mode for activities like HYROX and HIIT.
It is unclear when firmware version 4.7.3.1 will reach all users of the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch (curr. $549.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to install the update via the Zepp smartphone app.
