Amazfit adds new features to flagship smartwatch in update

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch is receiving a new update: firmware version 4.8.3.5. It shares many similarities with the recently released update version 4.8.3.5 for the T-Rex 3.
According to the release notes for this new update, shared on the 4PDA forum, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro gets new mid-workout data points. These are the remaining distance, remaining ascent and remaining descent, for either the final destination or the next waypoint. Users get new workout settings, with Always-on Display and other options now configurable by activity type. Plus, you can now view your heart rate zone on the watch during a workout.
Firmware version 4.8.3.5 also brings several optimizations to the T-Rex 3 Pro. The sensitivity of turn-by-turn reminders for route navigation has been improved, as has the user experience on the track page. Amazfit states that it has optimized the algorithm behind the VO2 Max calculation for more accurate insights. Plus, text related to route navigation is said to have been enhanced.
It is expected that firmware version 4.8.3.5 is rolling out to Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch (curr. $399.99 at Amazon) users in phases. Downloadable via the Zepp app, it is likely that the software will reach users in countries like the US, Canada and China first, with those in European countries receiving the update in the coming weeks.
